Dr. Teresa Chanting Sun is a specialist limiting her practice in periodontology and implantology at Mackay Medical Center, Department of Periodontology, Taipei, Taiwan. She is also a clinical instructor and lecturer in the Department of Periodontology at National Defense School of Dentistry, Taipei, Taiwan.

She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Taiwanese Board of Periodontology. She received her Certificate in Periodontology and Master of Science degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, MA, USA.

Dr. Sun is currently a reviewer for Journal of the Taiwan Academy of Periodontology and vice chairperson of education committee of Taiwan Academy of Periodontology (TAP), and also an active member of American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), International Team of Implantology (ITI). Being a clinical instructor and lecturer, Dr. Sun dedicates herself to periodontal education and enjoys doing clinical research with her students and residents. She lectures nationally and internationally on periodontology and implantology, and being recognized as a standout clinician treating patients focusing on periodontal hard and soft tissue regeneration, and dental implant related surgical procedures.
