below a clinical case of “Hopeless tooth” presented by Dr. Pierpaolo Cortellini.
The case is about a 38 yrs-old female patient with a severe aggressive periodontitis. As shown in the radiograph, tooth 2.1 had a large all around bone destruction, extending beyond the apex, with a 15mm clinical attachment loss and grade III mobility. The tooth was vital.
The tooth was splinted at first visit and then treated with GTR with BioOss and Emdogain after endodontic treatment. Clinical and radiographical 10 yrs post-op.
