Full-time Researcher and Chair of Oral Surgery, School of Dentistry, University of Ferrara. Member of the Directive Council of the Research Center for the Study of Periodontal and Peri-implant Diseases at the same University (Director: Prof. L. Trombelli). Member of the Expert Council of the Osteology Foundation.
Graduated in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis (2003). PhD in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2007). Visiting research fellow at the Center for Craniofacial Regeneration, University of Michigan (2007). Master of Science in Clinical and Epidemiological Research (2009).
Dr. Farina’s research interests are limited to Periodontology and Oral Implantology, and include the pathogenetic, diagnostic, preventive and therapeutic aspects of periodontal and peri-implant diseases. To date, Dr. Farina has published several book chapters and scientific articles with high citational indices in the major international peer-reviewed journals of the dental field. Dr. Farina is also Associate Editor of Minerva Stomatologica, member of the editorial board of the Journal of Dental Research, and member of the peer review panel of the Journal of Periodontology, of Medicina Oral, Patologia Oral y Cirugía Bucal and of the Journal Periodontics and Implant Dentistry.
