CANINE INTO LATERAL INCISOR TRANSFORMATION
The patient comes showing an aesthetic problem due to the position of her upper anterior teeth.
It was previously treated by other dental professional who didn’t achieve satisfactory results.
After a precise evaluation she was diagnosed with upper left lateral incisor agenesia (tooth #22), the canine (tooth #23) had took the place of the missing lateral incisor and showed a porcelain unitary prothesis on it. She showed a reversed smile, upper gingival asymmetry, hipochromia of tooth # 12 and dental attrition of tooth # 11 and tooth # 21.
We used a Digital Smile Design Protocol and performed the following treatment plan:
1.- In Office Bleaching
2.- Gingivectomy of gingival zenith of the following teeth : 11,12,21,23 and 24 to improve the gingival symmetry
3.- Ceramic Veneers of the following teeth: 11, 21 and 24
4.- Pure Ceramic Crowns on the following teeth: 12 and 23
5.- Aesthetic lens on tooth # 13
The crowns and veneers were made of VITA Feldesatic Ceramic and cementation was made with Relyx Veneer cement from 3M ESPE.
The final Impression was made using Express from 3M ESPE
